Tricks For Getting Rid Of The Treats
So the little gobblins are gone & the tricks are over, but what about those treats? Do you still have candy left in the bowl? Is it haunting you every time you walk by? Don’t let those leftover Halloween treats get the best of you by keeping them in plain sight. Out of sight (or out of home), out of mind right? Right!
If you have leftover candy and you don’t want it effecting your waistline, the best thing you can do is GET RID OF IT! Now, that doesn’t have to mean throwing it in the garbage. You have some great options that can save you a jeans size and help others.
- Donate the candy to the local food shelf. It might not be the best food for those in need, but I’m sure they’d like a treat every now and again too!
- Send your candy to Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is an amazing organization that creates care packages and sends them to US Troops over seas!
Another great idea is to freeze your candy stash. The treats will be out of temptations way and can be saved for later. Use frozen chocolates as toppings on your favorite yogurt, ice cream or made into cookies!
If all else fails, you can always toss it! Think of it this way: It’s better to feel guilty about a pound of candy going into the trash than a pound of candy going to your thighs.
